Skiing Timberline at Mt. Hood - February 20, 2009

Skiing Mt. Bachelor - January 3, 2009 : Dave and I have an annual tradition to bring in the new year snow skiing. So far so good! This year we went to Mt. Bachelor (our usual hangout) and had a phenomenal time! Saturday was a bluebird day! We prefer Bachelor over Hood because the snow is so much better; more dry and powdery. Also, Bachelor is a very versatile resort with everything from soup to nuts. The Outback provides nice long runs and is never very crowded. Fun times!

We stay at the Shilo Inn. Best price in town and we enjoy the indoor spa (heated pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room). We only paid $73.00 per night and our room was on the Deschutes river!

We also love the ski shops in Bend. I picked up a pair of Armada ARV's 165cm (my first pair of shape skis). Can't wait to get back on the slopes!
